Each year the IAC North Thames Region organises an inter-club competition.

 

2018 IAC K.O. Competition

RULES for ENTRY:
  • Each club will enter a well balanced programme of Not More than Five Movies which informs, educates and entertains. THE TOTAL RUNNING TIME FOR EACH CLUB’S PROGRAMME MUST NOT EXCEED 30 MINUTES.
  • All movies should have been completed during the two years prior to the competition

The event takes the form of a knockout competition and the clubs taking part will be organised into 4 groups of Three Clubs by means of a draw, with a max programme time of 30 minutes. The Judges conferred to decide which Club has provided the Most Entertaining Programme who will then proceed to the final round.

First Round: 14th March 2018 at Hemel Hempstead - Hemel Hempstead Movie Makers, CFMC.

Final: 20th May 2018 at Bourne End - Wansted & Woodford Movie Makers, CFMC, Staines Video Makers, South Essex Film Makers.

2014 IAC 4x4 Competition

Due to the reduced number of clubs competing the competition was revamped so that each round had a max 4 clubs competing with a max programme time of 25minutes.

 Results:

Judges allotted 4,3,2,1 points for the most entertaining programme and the 2 clubs with the highest score went forward to the next round,

Round B - CFMC (2), Mid Suffolk V&C Club (4), Potters Bar FilmMakers (1), Wanstead & Woodford M.M (3)

Both 1,2 went forward but we have no record of other clubs taking part in semi final


2013 IAC Triangle Competition

There were 3 clubs in each of the the 3 rounds: First Round, SemiFinal and Final round and the final winning club would be awarded the Triangle Trophy.

Each club entered a programme of films in the following categories: Documentary, Open, Fictional. The maximum programme time was 40 minutes.

Results:

Judges allotted 3,2,1 points to each film in each category and the club with the highest score went forward to the next round.
