Colchester Film Makers welcomes anyone interested in making or contributing to the making of films of any genre. If you are interested in script writing, camera operation, sound recording, directing and/or editing short feature films, or are interested in making your own documentaries or videos of family, friends, holidays or weddings, please come along to one of our meetings at the Hythe Community Centre at 1 Ventura Drive, Colchester, CO1 2FG.

We are a friendly club where our weekly programme includes both technical and informative talks, a variety of club member film competitions and practical group film making activities. These provide the opportunity for members to develop their film making skills by working with other members with differing skills and practical experience. Opportunities are provided each week for social interaction between members to allow the interchange of ideas and discussion of best practice.

We meet every Tuesday from 7.45pm to 9.45pm, September to May – please come along for a taster visit.

For more information please use the contact us link and then complete the form presented.

The club is affiliated to The Institute of Amateur Cinematographers
