Edited in Adobe Premiere Pro and Audition.
9 things about Cambridge
I set my self a bit of a logistical challenge to make a film in single day involving 9 topics and almost a dozen locations. The additional technical challenge was to film various forms of transitions to get from one topic to another. An unforeseeable event on the day added to the complications. Filmed on Canon 80D freehand, tripod and on a gymbal with some effects added in post using Adobe After effects.

Botanical Gardens
I have made several films about Cambridge over the years. My father was at Clare College and played hockey for the University. I should have gone to Clare but messed up my A levels! But I have great love of the city. However faced with the challenge of making a 5 minute movie on the subject and not being able to go on the planned visits - what should I do? Eventually Sue and I decided to go to the University Botanical Gardens not necessarily to make a film but just see what it was like. I took a camera and found the place full of people and lots to see. I shot in 4K. The on camera sound, all I had, was mostly useless. So I stripped that off in post and added my own foley track with music and commentary. The result is what you see. I like it and I hope you will too.

Cambridge
This film was shot in Cambridge in the Summer of 2019 mainly using my Canon 80D DSLR but the film does include some shots taken using my iPhone 6. It was edited on my PC using Adobe Premiere Elements 14. I have used some maps which I screen grabbed from the Ordnance Survey map of Cambridge for which I have sought a free licence but as yet have not received. The background music is "Afterglow" which I purchased from Audio Network with a Creator licence. The voiceover was recorded using my Sennheiser microphone and my Zoom 4HN digital recorder.
Cambridge on the Move
This film is a study of the city of Cambridge in terms of the way people move around the city and how the different modes of transport reflects the apparent changes of pace in the city. The material was provided in response to a request by me and came in the end from the 3 people indicated in the closing credits, who desreve to share any credit and no criticism in the way I have interpreted their material. in terms of the edit, as usual, I could have spent 10 times the amount of time I had available (and probably wouldn't have improved it much!). I spent almost as much time looking for the right soundtrack to work with the footage as I did editing it together!
NOTE: Regarding copyright; yes the film uses copyright material from audionetwork and which is thus not 'Royalty Free'. However i have purchased the required licence to enable the use of the audio track synchronised into the film for display at club events and on the club social media channels.
